If you have Mpox symptoms, you should contact your medical provider right away. If you do not have a provider, use your free MyNortonChart account to schedule a Norton eCare telehealth visit. Do not schedule a vaccination if you are exhibiting COVID-19 or Mpox symptoms.
Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is not encouraging mass vaccination for Mpox for the general public, for all health care workers or for all sexually active people. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in early August 2022 approved emergency use authorization to allow for two shots, each containing a fraction of the normal dosage, given 28 days apart.

Patients receiving the Mpox vaccine should expect to wait a minimum of 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes following the vaccination for a routine observation period.
