Katie Cowan, MT-BC, NICU-MT, es una musicoterapeuta certificada que trabaja en el centro de la ciudad en el Norton Children’s Hospital y el Norton Hospital. Es graduada de la Universidad de Louisville con una licenciatura en Musicoterapia. She is certified as a neonatal intensive care unit music therapist through the Florida State University College of Music, Tallahassee.

Katie trabaja con niños y adultos en el ámbito de la salud conductual y brinda consultas grupales e individuales todos los días. Rachel Hrdina, MT-BC, is originally from northern California and has lived in Louisville since 2016. Rachel received a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from University of Louisville and completed her music therapy internship with Norton Healthcare. She has been working since 2022 as a music therapist at Norton Audubon Hospital, where she provides inpatient music therapy services focused on supporting patients’ social-emotional needs, pain management and rehabilitation goals.  


Kyle Hubert, MT-BC, received his Bachelor of Arts in music from the University of Kentucky, followed by post-baccalaureate equivalency in music therapy. He currently serves as the supervisor of music therapy at Norton Audubon Hospital, providing inpatient and outpatient music therapy services full time. He has a deep passion for patient care and has pursued additional training in neurologic music therapy and hospice and palliative care music therapy. As director of the Norton Healthcare music therapy internship program, he supervises interns and practicum students from the University of Louisville and other affiliated universities. Outside of work, he loves being outdoors, spending time with his wife and dog, and going on runs through his neighborhood.


Kennedy McCollam, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist with Norton Cancer Institute. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. She previously completed an internship at a children’s hospital, where she developed a passion for working in the medical setting. Kennedy enjoys using music to create a safe and individualized space for patients and their families to share, create and connect. Kennedy provides music therapy services to inpatient and outpatient adult oncology patients and their families. 


Jailynn Noel, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist working at Norton Audubon Hospital. She is a University of Louisville graduate with a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, with an interest in jazz. Jailynn previously worked as an intern at Norton Healthcare in early 2023 and has gained experience working with a wide range of patients and diagnoses.

In addition to working as a music therapist, Jailynn works as a professional bassist and can be found playing at various venues in Louisville. She also serves as a teaching artist for the Louisville Jazz Initiative, which seeks to share and preserve the rich history of jazz music and provide growth opportunities for young musicians in the community. Jailynn is committed to using her passion for music to help those around her. 


Brett Northrup, MT-BC, es oriundo del norte del estado de Nueva York y vive en Louisville desde 2006. Es exalumno de la Facultad de Música de la Universidad de Louisville y musicoterapeuta certificado desde 2012.

Desde 2013, Brett ha atendido a pacientes oncológicos pediátricos y adultos y a sus familias como parte de los equipos de terapia expresiva en el Norton Cancer Institute y el Norton Children’s Cancer Institute, afiliados a la Facultad de Medicina de la UofL.

Maddie Offenberger, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist at Norton Audubon Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Music and has been working in the Louisville area since 2020. She enjoys working with patients during hospitalization and has a particular interest in mental health diagnoses. She appreciates having the opportunity to witness creativity and self-expression in the medical environment. In her spare time, she enjoys indoor cycling, cooking and taking care of her plants.


Allaynah Price, MT-BC, is a graduate of the University of Evansville, Indiana, where she received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy. She has been a board-certified music therapist since 2021. Allaynah has experience serving individuals with a multitude of diagnoses, including children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, adults with sickle cell anemia, and adult patients with cancer. Since 2023, she has been a part of the expressive therapy team through Norton Cancer Institute, providing music therapy services to patients at multiple Norton Healthcare campuses in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Allaynah has a passion for connecting with patients and their families through music. Outside of work, Allaynah enjoys serving in her church, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and cooking. 


Alexis Ruffner, MS, MT-BC, NICU-MT, earned her bachelor’s degree in music and creative writing from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, a bachelor’s equivalency in music therapy from the University of Louisville, and a Master of Science in early childhood and family development from Missouri State University, Springfield. Actualmente se desempeña como musicoterapeuta en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales del Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital, trabajando con bebés prematuros y sus familias y dirigiendo grupos de música para el desarrollo de bebés y padres. Alex is actively engaged in research and is a member of the editorial board for Imagine, an annual early childhood music therapy publication. 


Kerry Willis, MT-BC, es musicoterapeuta certificada del Norton Brownsboro Hospital y trabaja en Norton Healthcare desde 2006. Ha realizado una formación adicional en musicoterapia relacionada con enfermedades neurológicas y trastornos de la conciencia. In addition to her work with inpatients at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Kerry also provides support to the Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Centers through leadership in a variety of community groups, including a music and wellness group and “NeuroTones,” which is a choir for individuals with a variety of neurologic diagnoses including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
