Wave of Light is observed around the world each year to remember pregnancy and infant loss. The Norton Healthcare Pastoral Care team, in partnership with the We Remember Committee and March of Dimes, will host a candle-lighting ceremony to remember precious little ones we hold in our hearts.
The Wave of Light event is open to anyone who has been affected by loss of a pregnancy or infant. The ceremony will feature guest speakers sharing their experience with child loss, opportunities for prayer or reflection, and information on additional support.
The event will conclude with the lighting of the candles. As you light your candle, we encourage you to speak the name of the child you’re honoring, so that their memory may live on in our hearts.
This event is made possible with support from March of Dimes.
There is no registration required to attend Wave of Light, however you are welcome to engage with our Wave of Light Facebook event page. Feel free to share the event with others and follow the page for event updates.
Parking is available in the Norton Medical Plaza 1 – St. Matthews surface lot or the Norton Medical Plaza 2 – St. Matthews garage. Both parking areas are located to the left (near Wild Eggs) when facing the facility from Dutchmans Lane. Accessible parking will be available in front of Norton Medical Plaza 1 facing the flag pole.
The sorrow of child loss is deep beyond comparison. But you’re not alone. Together we can celebrate the lives and preserve the memory of our precious little ones who are gone too soon.
